Hyundai has just launched its popular Santa Fe in India. After selling over 2 million globally, Hyundai has finally brought in its third SUV offering India. While you can read about its exclusive drive reports elsewhere on the website, here's some dough on Hyundai's latest.
The Santa Fe is a full size SUV replete with a seven seat option. It's the widest SUV in its class which means seating three full size adults will hardly be a chore in the Santa Fe. It also sports the biggest wheels in its class at 18 inches shod with grippy silica based tyres. Coming to the insides, there is the two tone leather beige and black interiors, power seats for the driver and passenger, cruise control and not to mention a separate blower for the third row passengers as well. As far as features are concerned the Santa Fe is loaded to the brim.
Under the hood you get a 2.2 litre CRDi unit with E-VGT which pumps out a class leading 197 PS and 410 plus Nm of torque. Harnessing all that power is a 6-speed manual gearbox for which you also get a shift indicator on the speedo console. The Santa Fe is available in both 2WD and 4WD variants with the 4WD also getting locking differentials. To rein in the Santa Fe you also have ESP and ABS if at all things seem to get out of hand. And if they still do, there are as many as 6 airbags to break your impact.
The Hyundai Santa Fe with all the bells and whistles has been launched at Rs. 20.95 lakh for the 2WD variant and Rs. 22.95 lakh ex-showroom Delhi which makes it pretty good value for money. Keep watching this space for we plan to bring you a full blown review soon.
