Government of india provide the land on a leased agreement to various contractors who perform the various operation to extract the sandstone from these quarries in the leased land. The land acquired on leased by the contractors and the sandstone manufacturer are developed into a sandstone quarries for extraction of high quality sandstone. The quarries are developed as a result of blasting and drilling operation on the land.
There are various mines which works on an automated mode with high advanced machineries such as compressors and drilling machines for drilling and blasting, cranes for lifting big blocks, and dampers and trucks for transport while some mines use are less automated and are also violating child labour law to perform the various manual operation to get cheap man power and low operation cost.
In the recent past there has been a violation of child labor law in various sandstone mining companies and there is a great emphasis on the need of enforcing the ban of child labour by the Indian government on child labor exiting in some of the sandstone mines.
